Did you know that research has shown that during times of economic downturn there is a rise in the number of new business startups? Whether you've been downsized or are ready for early retirement from the corporate world, the entrepreneurial spirit seems to emerge in many of us.
As a former small business owner, I know what it's like to have a great idea and a passion for starting and managing a business. I also know that it's tough to do it on your own and you need all the help and wisdom that you can get - particularly when it comes to understanding the financial side of the business. That's why we went out and asked accountants for input on the challenges their new business clients face. We also conducted research among newly formed businesses to gather more information.
After months of planning and preparation, I'm so excited to announce a new website designed to help new businesses understand the importance of sound financial management and accounting. Our goal is to educate newly formed businesses and help them overcome some of their fears of accounting.
The name of the site is MyBizCounts.com and the tagline for the site is "Smart numbers from the start." The site offers access to small business experts, interactive tools, and webinars, as well as the opportunity to network with entrepreneurs, participate in community forums, and more.
By registering on the site and completing your Profile, the MyGuide section will customize and personalize your experience on the site. That means you don't have to seek out the answers on your own.
