[Invoicing]

Recently I have seen Peach unable to email stuff. It was an email problem, not a Peach problem. What I did was go to Help/Check for Updates...

Go to "Devices & Printers" in Windows. Under Printers you should see "Peachtree Email Writer v3".

If it is not there you should update Peachtree.

To update Peachtree, open Peachtree and click on the Services tab.  In the drop down you will see "Check For Updates".  Install any updates and close Peachtree.

In Windows under "Devices and Printers" make sure you see  "Peachtree Email Writer v3"

You should be able to email Invoices now......

Backup your Peachtree data files, then using the Windows Control Panel, select the Add/Remove Programs.  Click on Peachtree and uninstall.  Now re-install the program to the original datapath.  This will remove the corrupted files, and the install will replace all files including any that had been missing or corrupted.

I think a reinstall of the program is the solution you are looking for if the file is corrupt.

 No I haven't tried to reinstall.  I have a multiuser Peachtree, and the Peachtree machine that is acting up for e-mail is the main Peachtree PC. My database reside in this Peachtree and hence acts as a server for me. My affread that if I try to reinstall, I may end up creating other problems to the point that I can't even use my whole peachtree setup.

I would like to try other solutions first to see if I can fix it without reinstalling the s/w.

Did you reinstall your Peachtree program and select the maintenance and/or repair mode?

I am having the same problem, where I try to send an iinvoice or quote from the invoice/quote screen, I get the following error:

"Peachtree cannot find da required file or it has been corrupted. Please reinstall Peachtree or Contact Peachtree technical Support".

I never had my e-mail part of peachtree to work. Now I need to use it evereyday, and it is pain to scan and email the quote of invoice to my customer.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We are having a similar problem where we can't email invoices or anything that is a PDF.  In our case, the problem has to do with the Peachtree Email Writer v2 going offline.  (It is in Control Panel, Printers.)  Here is my original thread:  http://community.peachtree.com/peachtree/board/message?board.id=ptaccounting&thread.id=620

Does it work with a stock invoice (un customized)?

Okay-I wentto outlook and did this. But itis still not working. I noticed I can email from the customer profile just fine, but not while I am in invoices or quotes. Any other suggestions?
