yes, Excel does work by itself and no I cannot double click to work in peachtree. It shows: "run this program in compatibility mode for service pack 3"
I don't see any option to run it as administrator when I click on the peachtree icon. My firewall allows windows and peachtree programs.

Excel 2007 should work with your Peachtree. Does Excel open ok by itself. With Excel closed can you double click an Excel file and have it open automatically by Excel.
Do you have SP2 installed for Excel (Microsoft Office 2007 SP2)?
You may need to allow Peachtree to call up another application -Excel. Try running Peachtre as Administrator - Right click the Peachtree Icon and choose Run as Administrator. It may also be blocked by a firewall.

Nedra, please understand that the majority of us that post here are not Sage employees and are independent Peachtree Consultants giving our time and experience to help others like you.
It may be that your version of Excel is a version not supported by Peachtree 2010 i.e Excel 2000 - 2007. Try selecting your report and then right clicking on the selected report and selecting Excel.

I get an error message
"Peachtree cannot locate the Microsoft Excel program. Microsoft Excel must be installed on this computer...."
It is installed and is working other than with peachtree.
I upgrade to version 2010 as you suggested so I can email purchase orders and I can do that but now I can't printed important reports in Excel. Seems that every time I upgrade to fix a problem I encounter another and then I'm told to upgrade to fix that problem. Peachtree's getting rich while I'm getting poor with all these upgrades.

I finally was able to access this link but the download does not appear to be the download you indicated. Is there another link to the download that will allow me to copy reports to Excel. I need to be able to do this ASAP.

I'm not sure why but I couldn't install this update. Perhaps because I'm on a wireless PC card and the speed wasn't fast enough but I'm still not able to copy a report to Excel.
The computer has installed over 30 Microsoft updates in the last few days since we got the computer so I'm surprised that this one was not installed as well.
Any other way I can resolve this problem? We are surviving on a pc card for the next 2 months while out of town.

I got a new laptop with Windows 7 and just installed my new Peachtree Complete 2010. So far it's workin ok but slow. I'm on a high end laptop with Windows 7 and not sure what the problem is but the BIG problem is that it's not recognizing that Microsoft Excel is on the computer and I cannot convert my reports to Excel format.
I would appreciate some advise on how to resolve this problem and any information regarding why it's so slow on Windows 7.
