Hi everyone, was this ever resolved? I'm facing the same scenario trying to install over a remote destop installation running windows server 2008 and googling about it seem like is not a sage specific error but related to windows. I wonder if you ever found a solution for this?

This is an InstallShield error and there are several things that could be causing it. These 2 links should help you resolve it.

I am trying to remove previous copies of Peachtree software from my computer. When prompted to insert original software disc and choose "Remove" , after some bars that indicate progress, the following notice appears "Error 1628: Installation failed" How can I remove this program?
