Whatsmokin' Sage Peachtree?

by Sage Employee JDoctor on 08-13-2010 12:58 PM

At the Sage Peachtree Campus meeting in July we were fortunate enough to have a customer visitor, Pat Walther, owner of Whatsmokin’ Barbecue in Arnold, MO (outside St. Louis.) Her story is similar to what we hear from a lot of our customers, and we wanted to share it with you.

Pat was downsized from a corporate job in 2007, and decided to follow her dream.  She started first in a trailer, and after just a few months was able to open her restaurant in fall 2008.  Shortly after that, she found herself on the Rachel Ray show, giving her new restaurant some much-needed publicity.  Pat is following her dream, hoping to grow her business, and doing what she loves.

Why Sage Peachtree over other available options? “When I opened my business I didn’t use any software for the first year. I needed to get the business running and money was tight. After a year though, I needed to start thinking about an easier way to do payroll for the few employees I have. I had to make a decision – either hire someone to do my payroll or invest in software. To me, there was no choice. I wanted Peachtree.

“Installing the new Peachtree was so easy. I followed the prompts and it worked. It was a very smooth, like riding a bike,” Pat shared. Even though she had not used Peachtree in more than 9 years, “I installed it badda-bing, I was doing payroll and I was doing it right.

“Sage Peachtree is an important part of who I am, and what my business is. I know it sounds goofy but I love it that much.”

After the meeting, Pat provided samples of her fantastic barbecue to all Atlanta associates, making the July campus event one of the best – and tastiest – yet.

Have we mentioned just how much Sage Peachtree loves our customers?
