Hi Abdul. If you're using an earlier version of Peachtree, take a look at www.peachtree2010.com for details on new features. If you're not using Peachtree yet, try www.peachtree.com/productsServices to compare your options and download a trial. Let us know if you have any questions.
While I can't let you know what's in the next release yet, I can tell you that solving this issue is very high on the priority list ... keep your eyes open for release 2011 when pre-sales start in April.
After many years using a desktop for Peachtree, I have just switched it over to my laptop. If a window has a field entry form, such as in the Maintain Customer, Vendors, etc., or when I open the Options tab in Reports, I am not getting the full text for a field, and some of the fields are narrower than they were on my desktop. For instance, in Options the From: field is fine, but the To: field isn't the full width out to the drop down arrow. I do not get this problem when using other applications, such as Excel. I am using a Dell Inspiron 1520 laptop. Is there something I should be changing to adjust the screen for the full view of the fields?
Hi Donnabkkpr,
Have you tried changing the screen resolution of your laptop?
Right click on the desktop, go to Properties and adjust the screen resolution on the Settings tab.
Does that work?
Andrea
I tried various changes to the settings, but none worked. The form boxes are still shortened. There is one other problem I am continuing to have and maybe they are related. When I close Peachtree, I get a window that is "extracting" files, then a message "Setup has detected that unInstallShield is in use. Please close unInstallShield and restart setup. Error 432"
I have reinstalled Peachtree and continue to get the same message. I do not have unInstallShield open, nor do I know how to even get to it. I have not ever had this problem on my desktop.
Regarding the form boxes I am admittedly not the best person to troubleshoot this problem. I would suggest posting the question to the main Peachtree board vs. this blog and see if other users or certified consultants have worked around the same issue.
If you don't get an answer to both problems let me know and I will have someone call you directly.
I am from Connecticut. I am very familiar with the Peachtree accounting program, but there is more I would like to learn. Can someone tell me where in Connecticut I can go for Peachtree instruction. I would possibly like to get certified.
Hi Brenda - Training is offered locally by many Peachtree Certified Consultants. You can find a consultant or get information about becoming a consultant at www.peachtree.com/partners/certifiedConsultants. You can also get online training from www.sageu.com. Thanks for the question and let us know if you need anything else.
Yes, you can become a Certified Consultant, which entitles you to a number of benefits, including training resources and an invitation to our annual partner conference where we "train the trainers."
If you cannot find classroom instruction, I highly recommend the training sessions found on Sage University. Sign up and you'll receive a 30-day free trial. Let me know if you have any questions about it.
