Why not just format the first two rows and use the formatting paint brush to do the whole sheet. Format first two rows and paint the format to all other rows. Easier than writing a formula!

Carolyn K if you have to do any editing that would delete a row or move data the painted non-formula sheet would be "messed up".  Since the formula is already done for you, paste it into the conditional formatting and then use the formatting paintbrush to do the whole sheet.  Not much more time than your method.

Good Artricle,  We have actually been working on your #1 - expanding our product line.  We looked into each product line and went a step further and are building products similar to what we sell but can be used in a different field or interest.  We have basically gone through all your things to do while waiting for the economy to pick up except looked into cheaper Insurance, thats our next step.  Keep up the good work I enjoy your newsletter.

This newsletter is excellent!  Keep in mind there are service industries as well that do not rely on materials when discussing what do to in these difficult times.  The letter is also timely in light of Obama's changes and informative as well.  Thank you.

Can you take this one step further.  I have different customers in my data base that require a different invoice setup.  Could you put an option in each individual customer setup that asks which invoice you want to use?

This article is slightly misleading in regards to printing on a custom invoice. You can not set a form to print on a defult form. You could at one time but someone, in very short sighted wisdom, decided to turn that feature off in the current version. Ironically, they left the option to set a default form for printing in the software but that does nothing. You must select the form each and every time you print.  It was much better before when you could save a form, save a form to print and a printer to print it on.  As it is now, I'm very disappointed and have inadvertently printed on the wrong printer or the wrong form at various times. Very wasteful.

Is there a way to customize the default invoice form for different customers? I use my company form ( to use with preprinted invoices ) for mailed invoice customers but I use a different form for e-mail customers becauwe they do not have my preprinted forms. So I am always changing back and forth between the 2 forms. If this feature is not available now, could you consider it for the future?

I'm usually pretty excel savvy but have not been able to shade alternating rows. Following the directions given in Excel 2003, I can't get it to do anything. What could I be doing wrong? I've checked the formula over and over and followed the directions exactly. Any ideas?
