We use Sun Open office for spread sheets.  Can you make your program compatable with it?

Thanks

Hi John -

I believe you can do this today in Peachtree 2010 using ODBC. We added ODBC and OLEDB access with the May launch this year.

I also went to the OpenOffice.org website and Google to do a quick search - a lot of suggestions came up.

Andrea - Your answer said "I believe you can do this" - my question is how?

I'm using Peachtree Complete 2010 - and Open Office 3.1 - My new Dell PC also came with Works 9  -but I prefer Open Office.  The only way I've found so far to get data into spreadsheet is awkward copy / paste.

Glenda -

Good timing!

There is an article (with a link to a knowledge base article) in the October Insider.

http://community.peachtree.com/peachtree/attachments/peachtree/newsletter/97/1/PeachtreeInsider_Oct0...

There are also instructions in Help - search for ODBC and you should see a topic titled "ODBC, connecting to your Peachtree data". There has also been a good bit of knowledge exhanged on the product community board. If you have questions after reading the instructions, the best next step would be to post specific questions to the board.

I hope this helps, but if you hit a roadblock please send me a private message and we can get someone from support to help.

Andrea
