We’ve seen some incredible excitement building since our new 2010 launch last month! See for yourself what our customers and partners are saying about the new release. I would actually like to take a moment and thank all of you that contributed to this release, whether you submitted a suggestion, invited us to visit with you and your company, participated in the user-center design sessions or joined the beta testing program. Your input and interaction is a very important part of our process.

For instance, you told us that it’s critical for your company to find ways to go above and beyond when servicing your customers; you need to offer more than they expect. There was also an interesting study, the Small Business Success Index, conducted by Network Solutions LLC that graded small business customer service with an A- because of their ability to attract and retain customers based on the exceptional service they’re able to provide.

Your feedback, combined with research like the Small Business Success Index, helped us create the Customer Management Center that allows you to access all the details about your customer in one place (and even allows you customize the display). This feature not only makes your life easier, it allows you to truly know your customers and better understand what they need!

It seems to me that Peachtree needs to start doing that itself.  I am still using the obsolete 2006 Peachtree for Distribution  because I have 2008 that will not run due to a bug caused directly by a Peachtree 2008 trial version.  The system thinks the files are in use by another user and closes the program upon startup. When the bug was first discovered, it took some time for the development team to resolve the issue, create a patch file only available by contacting support, not by a freely available download.  This 2008 patch file cannot be located by phone customer support technicians and I was left with instructions to attempt on my own to save all my company files to another location and completely uninstall 2006 and 2008 from my system, including files and folders and reinstall 2008.  When I had the opportunity to attempt this large task, it was past the unmentioned 3 days to call back in.  I'm still stuck with the obsolete 2006 with it's limited features since obsolescence.  In over a year, I have not been able to use 2008 at all and now I was told I had to purchase a support plan in order to talk to a tech again.  I wouldn't have even had a problem without the trial version bug.  Thanks for a nice software program that no one can help me to use.

Although we had a short glimpse of it, is it possible if we can have a view of some screenshots on how this customer management looks like???

Hello, Diana75.

Although I'm not aware of the specifics related to your issue I can tell you that we have hundreds of thousands of customers that have been able to upgrade from 2006 to one of our newer releases.  Now, I realize that doesn't help your specific situation.  As a result, I'm happy to have someone in support contact you again in an effort rectify the problem.  I will also make sure that our VP of Support is aware of the case so he can get involved if necessary.  Another option is to reach out to our certified consultants for assistance.  Sometimes issues like these are environmental (specific to your environment).  Those are often times difficult for us to correct via phone support.  I know there are many certified consultants that are active on the community.  They may have suggestions on how to get you beyond this issue.  Regardless, if you would like for me to get tech support involved again please send me an e-mail at connie.certusi@sage.com and I will make this a high priority.

Peachtree Customer Management Center

Good morning Connie;

 

Congratulations on your efforts to make this peachtree a better service company as it always has been until my recent experience with Sage.  We have been a loyal customer for some years now with the regular software updates and payroll tax subscriptions, however, in the most recent promotion offering free W-2's with the purchase of a new upgrade it was not the case.

 

Apparently, there is a Certificate number that needs to be given by Sage software in oder for Sage Forms to process the free W-2's promotion, well i placed my order within due time for the upgrade which i received but the sales rep (Ronnie) did not mention anything about the certificate number, when i called Sage forms for my free W-2's they asked me for this number by the time Ronnie (sales rep) return my call with the number it was not honored by Sage forms due to timing.  I found this to be completely unprofessional, i felt i was treated like if it was the last time i was going to purchase from your company.  The offer was not honored and i felt that this was unfair considering the lack of information given by the sales rep.

 

I would appreciate anything you can do in the matter.

It is important that we have a peachtree version that can accommodate figures in excess of a billion ,example $1,000,000,000.00 or other currencies. This will support large businesses around the world and make it possible for Government institutions to use peachtree. The current position is an impediment to business growth and a limitation to peachtree usage.
